The Government has just issued Resolution No. 48/NQ-CP dated 3/4/2023 approving the Strategy for natural resources exploitation and sustainable use and environmental protection of sea and islands until 2030, with a vision to 2050. (Strategy). Particularly, marine pollution is controlled, prevented, and minimized; land-based and sea-based sources of marine pollution, transboundary pollution problems, marine environmental incidents; and marine plastic waste pollution are effectively monitored, controlled, and managed. By 2030, in coastal urban areas, 100% of hazardous waste and municipal solid waste will be collected and treated up to environmental standards.
